The Wake County Community Foundationboard recently reviewed and approved their grants for the Friends of BOMA Endowment Fund. Our fund had $1,530 to award to two grants:
$1,000 to Prevent Blindness NC – This organization prevents unnecessary vision loss in local children to ensure their proper development and readiness to learn through early detection and access to eye care. PBNC provides training, screening, and follow-up services in partnership with local schools. This grant will focus on the Triangle area.
$530 to With Love from Jesus to help purchase food for their food pantry. This will provide a healthy mix of foods to each of the approximately 1,000 needy families they serve each week. They cover all of Wake County, but are focused in the southern part.
Two great organizations!
